Photo Album: Buried Downspout Installation in Middleburg, FL
The foundation of this home was rapidly deteriorating from the weak soils surrounding. Weakened soils are a direct result of excess moisture. To divert water away from this home's foundation, our expert crew installed buried downspouts to the ends of the gutter discharge lines. Now, instead of water being dumped directly onto the foundation of the home, it is directed to a safe distance away - keeping the foundation dry and strong.
Gutter Discharge Extensions
These gutter discharge lines were dumping water directly onto this home's foundation. Step one of diverting the water to a safe distance away is to remove the existing discharge line and prep a path for the new buried extensions.
Concrete Prep
In this particular case, the gutter discharge extensions would have to pass through a sidewalk. So, we created a space in the concrete for the pipes to pass through.
Concrete Repair
After the extensions were installed and buried, we repaired the concrete the was altered to allow us to pass through. We also sealed all other existing concrete cracks with NexusPro joint sealant to leave the area looking even better than it did before.
Buried Downspouts
We attached extensions to each of the gutter discharge lines to divert water away from the home's foundation. Our patented LawnScape outlet was attached to the end of the extension line to prevent clogging by deterring away leaves and debris all while subtly blending in with the landscaping.
