This home was having issues with water intrusion and foundational settlement due to excess moisture consistently sitting in the foundation soils. Our expert crew diverted water away from this home's foundation by installing buried downspouts to the gutter discharge lines. This process extends and hides the discharge lines so that water is not being dumped directly onto the foundation nor is the landscaping disturbed.
Buried Downspout Install Step 1
The first step in diverting water away from this home's foundation by installing buried downspouts is to create a pathway for the discharge line extensions.
Buried Downspout Install Step 2
This particular buried downspout install required a pathway through a cement walkway. So, we removed some concrete from the slab so that the pipe extension could fit through.
Buried Downspout Install Step 3
When we have to remove a portion of concrete to install the buried downspout, we replace and restore any and all disturbed areas - the concrete, the landscaping, all of it!
Buried Downspout Install Step 4
The discharge lines are extended and in position, and our patented LawnScape outlet is attached at the end. The subtle design of the LawnScape outlet blends in with landscaping and prevents clogging.
Buried Downspout Install Step 5
The last and final step is to burry the downspouts and call it a day! Now, instead of water being dumped directly onto the foundational soils, the gutter discharge lines will divert water to a safe distance away - keeping the surrounding soils dry and strong!
