The foundation of this home had shifted and settled due to weak soils beneath it. The evidence was apparent via the multiple horizontal cracks along the exterior brick walls.
These galvanized piers are screwed into the ground using special mechanical equipment. They then transfer the weight of the home to load bearing soil or bedrock, permanently stabilizing the home's foundation. In many cases, helical piers can even lift the foundation back to its original position.
To avoid water from being dumped directly onto the home's foundation, we added buried downspouts to the gutter discharge lines. Now the water is directed a safe distance away from the home, keeping the surrounding soils dry and strong,
