The corner of this building on the beach had experienced a great amount of erosion overtime from the weather and ocean. The corner was now sinking into the ground, causing all kinds of cracks in the floors and walls above. This was a serious issue that would ultimately be detrimental if not addressed soon.
To install helical piers, holes had to be dug deep enough to see below the footer of the house. Next, a special piece of mechanical equipment was used to "screw" the pier into the soil.
Once installed, these galvanized piers transfer the weight of the building above to load bearing soil or bedrock - providing immediate and long lasting foundation stabilization.
