During this project in Jacksonville, Florida, our team installed a helical pier to provide additional structural support to the home’s foundation. Soil movement and settlement can cause areas of a foundation to shift over time, especially in regions with sandy soils and fluctuating moisture levels like those found in Northeast Florida.
To address the issue, our crew excavated down to the footing and installed a helical pier beneath the foundation. This steel pier is engineered to transfer the weight of the structure to more stable soil layers deep below the surface, helping prevent further settlement and restoring stability to the home.
Once installation is complete, the area will be backfilled and graded to blend seamlessly with the surrounding landscape while maintaining long-term structural support.
This home's floors were sinking and sagging due to weak support columns in the crawl space. Our expert crew installed high-capacity SmartJack steel piers in the crawl space to instantly and permanently stop settlement in its tracks and lift the floors above back to their original position.
We permanently stabilized this home's sagging floors by installing SmartJacks and steel supplemental beams throughout the crawl space. These fully-adjustable steel piers immediately stop settlement and may even lift the floors above back to their original position.
